Different Versions of the Quran Are Available

Who wrote Koran? Muslims believe that the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, was revealed to   Muhammad   over a period of twenty-three years, starting with the initial revelation at Mount Hira. After the Prophet's death, his successors compiled these divine revelations in a manuscript. How many versions of the Quran are there? There are at present  at least 30  different texts of the Koran in circulation today with not just accentual, but consonantal differences as well. The Hafs Koran was canonised in 1924 in Cairo and is now the standard used by 95% of Muslims. It was based on “oral traditions”, and not on any manuscript.
